Henry Allen Jeffcoats, 66, of French Camp MS, passed away on April 17, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 22, 2016 at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS at 10:00AM. Pastor Ernest Dawson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 21, 2016 from 5:30PM until 8:00PM and again on Friday April 22, 2016 from 8:30AM until 9:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS on Friday April 22, 2016 at 1:30PM.
Henry was born in Jackson, MS on September 16, 1949. He was drafted into the Army on April 7, 1969 and served with honor in the Americal Division until December 18, 1970, having suffered life-threatening wounds during combat. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He never asked anything from his country and was proud to have served.
Henry was married to Bonnie J. Harrison Jeffcoats on December 4, 1993; they were married for 23 years.
During his life, Henry owned several successful small businesses. He also worked as a millwright, safety coordinator and manager. He lived life to the fullest, and he was always willing to help someone in need. He was a big man, but the biggest part of him was his heart. He loved the outdoors and would go camping, hunting, and fishing with his family whenever he could. He also loved racing and built several champion race cars.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jeffcoats of French Camp, MS; eight children and step-children, Christel Jeffcoats of Horn Lake, MS, Jason Bradshaw of Forest, MS, Rebecca Bradshaw Arnott (Ken) of Tampa, FL, Michael Jeffcoats of Forest, MS, Misty Jeffcoats Barnes of Forest, MS, Joshua Jeffcoats (Paige) of Battle Mountain, NV, Mark Bradshaw of Jackson, MS, and Joey Bradshaw (Sabrina) of Morton, MS; one sister, Branda Kay Jeffcoats Isonhood of Pearl, MS; brothers and sisters in law, Melina and Danny Westbrook, Ernest and Linda Dawson, and Danny and Rhonda Harrison; fourteen grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Elton and Mildred Nadine Jeffcoats; as well as his sister, Rebecca Lee Jeffcoats.
Flowers may be sent to Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. The Jeffcoats family would like to thank his PCL Family, Halcyon Hospice, DME Express, the staff at UMMC, and all those that worked so hard to make his final days as joyful and peaceful as possible.
