Mrs. Cleo Wallace Henry Kelly, age 86, passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 10:00AM until 10:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with burial following at Cash Cemetery in Lena, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Parker. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Pearl Presbyterian Church. She attended Post Graduate School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. She was retired from the Veterans Administrations in 1971, after holding various positions. She also served on campaign staff of numerous politicians including Governor Ross Barnette, Governor Bill Waller, and Senator C. John Stennis. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener of vegetables and flora. Her culinary skills were well known along with her love of all dogs. Her laughter was infectious. She was always quick to come to the aid of her many friends, such as her dear friend and helpmate, Betty Jean Mills. Her philanthropic nature benefited the ASPCA, the American Ex POWS, Humane Society, Susan G. Komen, March of Dimes, American Legion, PETA, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and numerous nonprofits. She was an active member of the Ex Prisoner of War Organization and the 463 Bomb Group Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billie Gordon Henry; her second husband, Royce E. Kelly; her father, Lyle Talbot Wallace; her mother, Evie Lee Weaver; her sister, Wyvonne Bailey; and her brother, Lamar Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Billie Henry Patete Fuller; her sister-in-law, Peggie Wallace; her nephew, LaRon Bailey; and her faithful companion, Speedy, who will be loved by Patsy and Bill Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Crockett, Bill Johnson, Willie Parker, Wayne Turberville, Talmadge Harrell, and Mike Owens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry Conn, Gary Nowell, MD, Van Temple, MD, John McVey, MD, and Todd Lawson, MD.
Memorials may be made to: Best Friends Animal Society or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland Montana.
