Arrangements have been made for Bill H. Wilbourne of Forest, MS. Visitations will be at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday July 11 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday July 12 at 2pm in the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Eastern Cemetery in Forest, MS.
Bill H. Wilbourne entered his heavenly home July 8, 2017. He was born December 4, 1939 to Myree Sanders & Bill Wilbourne. Bill grew up in Aliceville, AL where he graduated from Carrolton High School in 1957. After high school he pursued a music career as a Nashville recording artist from 1962 to 1972. He met his wife Kathy in Meridian who also shared a passion for music. They were married in 1965. Bill and Kathy were blessed to have a booming musical career where they were able to tour around the world sharing their talent with the thousands of fans. They recorded many records throughout their career which included a Grammy nomination for The Lovers album in 1968. In 1978 he settled his family in Forest, MS where he continued his musical profession as the President of the Scott County Broadcasting Association, a position he held until 1992. After his radio career he purchased FMA Furniture and in 1995 he was elected to Scott County Constable Post 2. He found his second passion for the great people of Scott County in this new role and continued to serve the community as constable retiring in December 2015.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Bill Wilbourne & his step-father Ralph Sanders. He is survived by his mother Myree Sanders, his beloved wife of 52 years, Kathy Wilbourne, his 3 children Lisa Easterwood (Tim) of Collinsville, MS, Steven Wilbourne of Forest, MS & Shane Wilbourne (Sarah) of Forest, MS, his 4 grandchildren Lance Price, Kayla Wilbourne, Jake Wilbourne & Ali Beth Wilbourne. his siblings Don Wilbourne of Aliceville, Al, Carol Holcombe of Macon, MS & Faye Moore of Calera, AL and host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
