Howard Sanderson

Mr. Howard L. Sanderson, age 68, passed away on Saturday February 03, 2018 at his home in Walnut Grove, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday February 05, 2018 from 5:30PM until the service time on Tuesday at Crossroads Church of God in Sebastopol, MS. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00PM on Tuesday February 06, 2018 at the church with Bro. Matt Clark, Bro. Jerry Holmes, and Delmer “Flame” Petigrew officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow in the New Zion Baptist Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Sanderson had lived in Walnut Grove, MS for the past forty years. He was a member of the Crossroads Church of God in Sebastopol, MS. He also proudly served his country in Vietnam for eighteen months and was a member of the V.A. Administration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Virgie Sanderson; two brothers, Sydney and James “J.W.” Sanderson; two sisters, Paulette O’Neal and Carolyn Alford; and one grandson, Devin Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Sanderson of Walnut Grove, MS; eight children, Tammy Gilmer (John) of Forest, MS, Patricia Rogers (Randy) of Walnut Grove, MS, Sonya Sanderson (Bobby) of Walnut Grove, MS, Mary Joiner of Lawrence, MS, Ravyn Sanderson (Jason) of Union, MS, Harley Sanderson (Desiray) of Walnut Grove, MS, Julian Sanderson of Union, MS, and Howard “H.B.” Ward of Sebastopol, MS; one sister, Allison Smith of Crystal River, FL; seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Gilmore, Brian Gilmore, Darren Trahan, Clay Beauchamp, James Ferguson, and Triston Hollingsworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Duell, Joe Burnham, and Mac McAuthor.
