Mrs. Nina Hazel (Jimmie) Everett, age 90, passed away on July 27, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private family service will be held. Brother Chris Harrison, her pastor and friend will officiate. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Ephesus Baptist Church. There will be no visitation.

Ms. Jimmie, as she was known by all who knew and loved her, was the daughter of the late Marzell and Alice Lou Graham Webb. She was a long time resident of the Ringgold Community of Scott County, graduating from Ringgold High school in 1947. She married the love of her life, Leotis Everett, in 1948 and shared 35 years with him before his passing in 1983. Together they raised three children, Kay, Pat, and Billy. Although she was a wonderful homemaker with excellent cooking skills, Ms. Jimmie’s favorite “job” was being Mamaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Ephesus Baptist Church where she was an active member of her Sunday School Class and the adult choir until poor health prevented her attendance.

Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leotis Everett; her son, Pat Everett and her infant granddaughter. Her sisters, Marcelle White, Mary Stroud and Gwen Taylor also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Kay Wilson and husband Roy and son Billy Everett and wife Joyce, all of Forest. Other survivors include her grandchildren Micah Everett and Wife Jennifer of Taylor, MS and Kristen O’Donnell and husband Chris of Lemoore, CA and her great-grandchildren, Brody, C.J., and Christopher.
She is also survived by sisters Sue Graham (Junior) and Terri Hall of Conehatta and brother Wayland Webb of Gulfport.

The family requests that memorials be made to Ephesus Baptist Church, 3535 Ephesus Rd., Forest, MS, or Gideons International, Scott County Camp, PO Box 804, Forest, MS.

Ms. Jimmie always had the sweetest smile on her face and never a hair out of place. She was a fine Southern Christian lady who was always willing to do for others, until her health prevented it. Prayers for all of her family but you know she is now rejoicing with her Lord and Savior and singing in the Heavenly choir.
