Algie Mae Stewart, 70, passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital, Flowood, MS. Visitation will be at Calvary Assembly of God on Friday April 30, 2021 from 6:00 PM until services on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Bro. David Bryant officiating with Wolf Funeral Services be in charge of services.
Algie was born on March 13, 1951 in Yazoo Co., MS to JD May and Murray D. Prestage, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Mississippi. She was Baptist by faith. She loved working puzzle books, watching Law and Order and Family Feud. She was a big fan of sweet tea and ham. Most of all she loved her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents JD and Murry Prestage; her loving husband Hosey Elton Stewart; grandson, Dylan Farquhar; great-grandsons Samuel and Jordan Hollinger; two son-in-laws; five brothers, Murry Prestage Jr, Lamar Prestage, James Prestage, John Prestage, Jimmy Prestage. She is survived by her five children, Helen Stewart of Pearl, MS, Carolyn McKay (William) of Pearl, MS, Teresa Johnston, of Morton, MS, Jennifer Farquhar of Pear, MS, Joanie Stewart (Lucky Kumar) of Brandon, MS; four brothers, Willie Edmon Prestage, Jessie Lee Prestage, Roger Earl Prestage, Billy Ray Prestage all of Morton, MS; twenty-two grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Prestage, Richard Prestage, Dusty Perry, Robert Stewart, Benny Hutchinson, Frank Adcock, honorary pallbearers are Brian Prestage and Randall Prestage.
