Hazel Coley, 82, passed away on, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at UMMC. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, May 30, 2021, from 12:30 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services, Morton, MS. Services will be held on, Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will be at the Morton Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. Jack Stewart, David, Bryant and Aaron Woods will officiate the services.
Hazel was born on October 5, 1938 to Virginia Sexton and Ethan Allen DePriest. She has lived in the Morton area for 68 years after moving there from Puckett. She is a member of Calvary Assembly of God. Her greatest joy was spending time and caring for her family especially her grandchildren. Her main priority was taking care of her husband Wesley. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for family get togethers and going to church when she was able.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Ethan and Virginia DePriest; one son Terry Scott; three sisters Eva Mae Pinson, Doshie Prestage, Ruthie Thomas and one brother Wilbern DePriest.
She is survived by her husband Wesley Coley; three children, Tim Coley (Irene) of Morton, MS, Roger Coley (Vanessa) of Morton, MS and Diane Thompson (Ronnie Jo) of Pelahatchie; three sisters Euna Stewart (Jack), Dorothy Prestage (Jessie) and Emily Hynes all of Morton; eight grandchildren, Lance Thompson, Joseph Thompson( Diana), Kristy Atkinson (Sam), Ashley Gatewood (Eric), Alan Coley (Lindsey), Angel Coley, Casey Coley, and Ariel Allen (Jack); 12 great grandchildren, Lelsie Gatewood, Bryson Gatewood, Natlie Atkinson, Alexis Atkinson, Ryder Coley, Sadie Coley, Westen Coley, Hagen Coley, Ava Allen, Brantley Allen, Emery Grace Allen, and Grayson Allen.
Pallbearers will be Sam Atkinson, Josh Hall, Eric Gatewood, Thomas “Bubba” Coley, Dee Dee Hynes and Mark Bates.
