Dennis joined the Army after completing school and served in the Vietnam War, he received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. After leaving the Army, he migrated to Mississippi and became a Long-Haul Driver for Frito Lay where he retired. Dennis was a Mason and he served on the Pelahatchie Fire Department as a First Responder, which was his favorite past time. He was always willing to drop what he was doing to help someone any day and anytime. He was loved and thought highly of in his community, which he loved dearly.
Papa D was a daddy, a papaw, a brother and a friend to all who came in contact with him. He had a smile and a laughter that was contagious. But his best love went to his girls, which he text every morning to say “Good Morning” and to tell them he loved them.
