Jean Adcox, 53, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, January 01, 2012 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday, January 03, 2012 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, January 04, 2012 from 9:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel with burial following in the Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Leon Stewart and Bro. Robert Gatewood. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Jean had lived in Polkville, MS for most all of her life and she was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville, MS. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Adcox; her parents, J.C. and Ina Fay Guy.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Adcox of Morton, Ms; one son, Jacob Adcox and wife Mallory of Morton, MS; two daughters, Tonya Faulkner and husband David of Morton, MS; Michelle Cumberland and husband Tony of Morton, MS; three step-sons, Josh Adcox of Pelahatchie, MS; James Michael Adcox of Monticello, MS; Sean Adcox of Pelahatchie, MS; one brother, Terry Guy and wife Elaine of Pelahatchie, MS; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers were Justin Guy, Casey Guy, Monty Hopkins, Mitchell Kirkpatrick, Matthew Scott, and Lance Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Lowden, and Mike Scott.
