Alex "David" Talbert

Alex “David” Talbert, age 71, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his residence in Forest, MS. His visitation will be held Sunday February 25, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS and Monday, February 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Salem Baptist Church in Lake, MS. His services will take place at Salem Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Cemetery. Bro. James McMillan and Bro. Larry Duncan will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

David was born to John Alex Talbert and Sadie Mae Reese on November 17, 1952, in Little Rock, MS. He was a lifelong Scott County resident. David was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Lake, MS. He was a hardworking, simple man, who loved hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, John Alex Talbert and Sadie Mae Talbert; and his brothers, Danny and Joseph Talbert. He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Talbert of Lake, MS; his two sons, Joseph Talbert of Forest, MS, and John Talbert (Melanie) of Forest, MS; his daughter, Donna Kay Creel of Forest, MS; his sister, Virginia Devine of Little Rock, MS; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one on the way. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Tanner Smith, Toby Smith, Joseph Talbert, John Talbert and Michael Creel.
