William Allen

George Allen, 83, a resident of Brandon passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 5:30 until 9:00 pm and Sunday, April 01, 2012 from 10:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 01, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel with burial following in the Puckett City Cemetery in Puckett, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Cox. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allen had lived most of his life in Puckett, MS before moving to Morton, MS and he was a member of Lake Harbor Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Lee Allen in 2009; five children, Galis Richardson, Jessie Talbert, William Allen, Cellia Allen, Cheyenne Allen and five grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, Juno Richardson and wife Ruby Nell of Pelahatchie, MS; Robert Richardson and wife Rita Fay of Morton, MS; Danny Allen of Morton; Frank Allen and wife Wanda of Morton, MS; four daughters, Rose Herrod and husband Richard of Morton, MS; Annie Phillips and husband Harme of Mendenhall, MS; Crickett Fitzhugh and husband Dallas of Sandhill, MS; Shirley Hart and husband Alan of Morton, MS; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Stevens, Jessie Hart, Jr., Malcolm Cold Allen, Scott Herrod, Matthew Stevens, and Greg Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Watkins and Bubba Easterling.
