Mrs. Sarah Frances Campbell Alman, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. A private service for family is set for Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holly Bush UMC Cemetery with Gary Knight officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Holly Bush United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Alman was born in Pontotoc, MS on January 8, 1930 to the late Charles Julius Campbell and Vera Lyon Campbell. Mrs. Alman loved her church and was very involved. She was president of UMW, Sunday school teacher, Historian of Holly Bush, had perfect attendance with Explores Bible Study for 12 years, started puppet ministry for the church, and sang in the choir. She made sure to plan many activities to keep church members involved, she was responsible for arranging special singers for revivals and organizing dinner on the grounds during revivals. Also she had a ministry making lap blankets for the nursing homes. Mrs. Alman had a loving heart. She provided for many people and never looked for anything in return. She loved her garden and flower beds. She made sure she provided for her husband, especially meals. She would not leave home until she had a meal prepared for the love of her life.
In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Campbell and sister, Nell Fletcher. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Sl Alman, Jr., children, SL Alman, III (Glenda) and Lisa Alman Cross, both of Pelahatchie, MS ; 4 grandchildren, Buck Alman, Dusty Alman, Sarah Catherine Thompson, Jeremy Cross; and 9 great grandchildren,
