Mrs. Mary Ruth Armstrong, age 72, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday January 12, 2019 from 2:30PM until 5:00PM and Sunday January 13, 2019 from 12:30PM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will follow Sunday January 13, 2019 at 2:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Burial will be at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Morton, MS. There will be no graveside services. Officiating will be Rev. John Miles and Rev. Matt Armstrong. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Armstrong was a lifelong resident of the Forkville Community. She was a Baptist by Faith and a member of The Bethlehem Baptist Church in Forkville, MS. She was a 1964 graduate pf Morton High School and attended MSCW and University of Southern Mississippi. She was a bookkeeper for Jackson Ready Mix, Bank of Morton, B.C. Rogers, and The E&R Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Winstead and Mary Murphy; her grandmother, Ruth Winstead; her son, Chris Armstrong; her brother, Charlie Winstead. She is survived by her husband, Jim Wiley Armstrong of Forkville, MS; two sons, Jim Wiley Armstrong, Jr. (Donna) of Forkville, MS; and Shannon Armstrong (Chrissy) of Brandon, MS; her daughter in law, Georgia Armstrong; two sisters, Martha Stobaugh of Brandon, MS; and Linda Lawson of Riverside, CA; five grandchildren, Kayla Armstrong/Rineheart, Ethan Harrell, Michael Shannon Armstrong II, Savannah Dillard, and Lindsey Knight. Four great-grandchildren, Carson Rineheart, Jaxon Rineheart, Payson Knight, and Gunner Harrell; her special friend and caretaker, Amy Latham; Also, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Michael Armstrong II, Ethan Harrell, Jonathan Rineheart, Will Garner, Deagan Spears, Kris Knight, Joey Champion, Jimmy Nichols, Payson Knight and Carson Rineheart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Howard Clark, Chris Spears, Jeff Burge, Keith Hammitt, Ray Morris, Raymond Latham, Jim Marler, George Nutt, Danny Rue Nutt, Randy Franklin, Jack Armstrong III, and Kenny Latham.
