Hubert Arnold Atkinson

Hubert Arnold Atkinson, age 80, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Baptist Medical Center – Leake in Carthage, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12:50 PM at County Line Baptist Church in Carthage, MS. Services will at place at 1:00 PM in the Church Chapel. Burial will follow at County Line Baptist Cemetery in Carthage, MS. Bro. Gerald Willis, Sr. will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Hubert was born to Walter Stephen Atkinson and Clara Belle Pickle Atkinson on November 19, 1942, in Leake County, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Leake County, MS. He enjoyed mechanicing, fishing, hinting and being with his Family. Hubert always had a smile on his face and would help anyone, he was known as a giver.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Stephen Atkinson and Clara Belle Atkinson; five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Georgia Atkinson of Carthage, MS; four children, Gerald Willis, Sr (Lisa) of Carthage, MS, Hubert Lathanial Atkinson (Betty) of Carthage, MS, Tricia Espinosa (Pedro) of Philadelphia, MS and Joseph Atkinson of Carthage, MS; brother, Henry Walter Atkinson (Lynette) of Carthage, MS; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
