Barbara Louise Humphreys Haralson of Conehatta passed away Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, just two days before her 86th Birthday. Mrs. Haralson was born January 9th, 1939, the second daughter of James Lamar “Sonnyboy” Humphreys and Melba Odell Loper. 

She married Billy Easland Haralson of Conehatta on Febuary 14th 1954. This 64 year marriage, created a beautiful family consisting of five children, eight grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren. 

She is survived by her three children, son Billy Wayne Haralson of Conehatta, Daughter Lisa Haralson Jordan (Jimmy) of Terry, and daughter Susan Haralson Mitchell (Jeff) of Conehatta. Grandchildren Danny Wayne Haralson (Audrey) of Conehatta, Robert Logan McDonald (Brittany) of Conehatta, Joseph Keller Jordan (Nicole) of Brandon, Kyle Loper Jordan (Lura) of Starkville, Lucas Haralson Jordan (KaRaye) of Benton, Brittany Haralson Adams (Justin) of Lake, Ashley Kirkpatrick Townsend (Phillip) of Conehatta.and Corrie Mitchell Sistrunk (Andy) of Forest. Great-grandchildren, Tryston, Parker, Easland, Hayes, Jack, Holt, Charleigh, Billie, Addison, Atley, Olivia, Andrew, and Kate. 

Siblings Mary Humphreys Everett of Decatur, William Thomas Humphreys (Sylvia) of Newton, Jimmy Dale Humphreys, (Voncile) of Moselle, Jerry Wayne Humphreys (Betty Jo) of Lawrence, many nieces and nephews and her lifelong friends Geraldine Haralson and Priscilla Cooksey.

She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Easland Haralson, son Danny Ray Haralson, son James Anthony Haralson, brother Benny Lamar Humphreys, and her parents James Lamar “Sonnyboy” Humphreys and Melba Odell Loper Humphreys.

 Mrs. Haralson was reared and attended school in Lawrence, Mississippi. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and worked alongside him daily. Whether it was in their store in Conehatta or Haralson Logging as the bookkeeper. The drivers and crew called her, “Boss Lady”. Another nickname given to her by friends and family was “Mamaw Tootie”. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and cooking in her kitchen. A few of her specialties were biscuits, cornbread, chocolate pies, and the best chicken tenders to name a few. She leaves behind the legacy of love for her children and grandchildren with wonderful memories.

 She was a longtime and faithful member of Conehatta Baptist Church where she participated with WMU, VBS, Fellowship committee and the Youth committee. For many years, she was a faithful poll worker at the Conehatta precinct on election day.

 Funeral service will be held 11:00AM January 9, 2025, at Wolf Funeral Home Chapel in Lake, officiated by the Reverend Shannon Davis, Pastor Conehatta Baptist Church. The family will receive friends two hours (9:00AM) prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment to follow at Conehatta Methodist Church Cemetery.
