Betty Margie Warren

Betty Margie Warren, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Her visitation on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. She will have a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Homewood Baptist Church in Forest, MS. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Doyle Boyles and Bro. Phillip Roland will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Margie was born on November 29, 1933, to Roy B. Gatewood and Lessie Leona Harrison in Forest, MS. She had lived in Clinton, MS for the past five years, before then she and her husband, Sonny, lived in Homewood Community. Margie was a member of Homewood Baptist Church in Forest, MS. She proudly served her country as a proud Military Wife, her husband Sonny served in the U. S. Navy for twenty-three years with her by his side. Margie loved sewing and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching and following basketball and football. 

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lessie Gatewood; her husband, Clifton G. Sonny Warren; her son, Stanley C. Warren; her three brothers, Alva, Dewey, and Howard Gatewood; her three sisters, Leona Gallups, Delsie Moulder, and Jewell Rutledge. She is survived by her two sons, Rory Warren (Donna) of Richmond, TX, and Bryan Warren (Rena) of Clinton, MS; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Warren of Poplarville, MS; her six grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
