Vanessa Ann Buckner

Vanessa Ann Buckner, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at her residence in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place at 2:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Morton, MS. Pastor Willie Jones will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Vanessa was born to J B Epting and Essie Pearl Grant on March 27, 1959, in Morton, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. Vanessa loved decorate and crochet. She was very crafty. Vanessa enjoyed going to yard sales. She was a loving person who loved her family and anyone who would let her. Vanessa was devoted to her church and was one of the first to volunteer.
Vanessa was preceded in death by fer parents, J B Epton and Essie Pearl Grant; four brothers and two grandchildren. She is survived three children, LaConnah D. Grant Simon (Bryan) of Morton, MS; John Alex Grant of Morton, MS and Joseph Buckner of Lena, MS; five sisters, Minnie Pearl Jones (Jack) of Morton, MS, Sylvia Wilson of Morton, MS, Debra Jean Gibson of Morton, MS, Emma Epting Gulfport, MS, Mary Epting of Gulfport, MS and Annie Evans (Darell) of Morton, MS; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and with one more on the way.
