Vanessa McCurdy Burnham, 55, a resident of Forest passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Hospice In His Hands, Madden, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm and Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 8:00 until 9:45 am. Funeral services were held in the chapel at 10:00 am with burial following in the Puckett Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Burnham had lived in Hillsboro for the past 12 years, moving from Clifton and she was a member of Clifton Baptist Church, Forest, MS. She was a volunteer at the Crisis Center until her failing health and she loved the outdoors and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father Buck McCurdy. She is survived by her husband, Hayse Burnham of Hillsboro; mother, Mary Alice Porter, Morton; step-father, John Thomas Blackwell of Morton; children, Tanya Graves and husband Chris of Harperville; Hayse Burnham, Jr. and wife Tammy of Raymond; Jimmy Burnham and wife Heather of Carthage; Joe Burnham of Sebastopol; Natalie Gunter and husband Lee of Forest; Dana Harrell and husband Chris of Forest; three sisters, Carol Stokley of Morton, Michelle Richardson, Clifton; Valera Atkisson of Texas; 34 grandchildren, and a number of nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers were Daniel Porter, Brian Harrell, Corey Harrell, Brandon Wooten, Chris Graves, and John Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Taylor, and Josh Taylor.
