Darwin Byrd

Mr. Darwin Lazelle Byrd, age 77, a resident of Pineville, MS passed away on Sunday June 21, 2015 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday June 25, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Pineville Leaf River Cemetery in Pineville, MS. Tony Wedgeworth will deliver the eulogy. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangments.
Mr. Byrd has lived in Pineville, MS since 1989, formerly living in California. He attended the Clear Springs Baptist Church in Louin, MS. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his wife, Regina L. Wedgeworth Byrd in 1986; parents, Rev. & Mrs. Curtis L. Byrd; sister, Doris Verdene Dunn; brother, Quinton Byrd; son, James Darwin Byrd; granddaughter, Regina Elizabeth Brown. He is survived by three daughters, Lynn Carpenter and husband Billy of Brandon, MS, Sandi Elmer and husband Ron of Granada Hills, CA, Lori Creel and husband James of Lake, MS; one sister, Wilda Cox of Irving, TX; one brother, Winton Byrd of Pearl, MS; seven grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Billy Carpenter, James Creel, Ron Elmer, Clarence Creel, Jeffery Floyd and Tony Wedgeworth. Honorary pallbearers are John Wedgeworth, Danny Wedgeworth, Brandon Braddy and Alex Grace.
