Carolyn Annette Jones

Carolyn Annette Jones, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence in Pearl, Mississippi, on March 2, 2025. She was 69 years old. Born on July 22, 1955, in Rankin County, Mississippi, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Pearl, where she cultivated deep roots within her community.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her vibrant spirit and passion for the beauty of nature. She found joy in outdoor gardening, nurturing flowers that flourished under her care. Her love for collecting crosses and angels added a unique touch to her home, reflecting her appreciation for symbols of faith and comfort.

Carolyn is survived by her two devoted daughters, Misty Woods of Pearl, MS, and Rachelle Thompson of Meridian, MS; and her son, Kevin Jones of Oxford, MS. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, each of whom were a source of immense joy for her. Carolyn also cherished her relationships with her three sisters and four brothers, and she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Burley Dewitt Jones and Willie Lynn Prestage Jones, along with two children and several siblings. Carolyn's legacy continues to live on through her family, who carry forward the love and light she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
