Carmen Idell Chambers

Ms. Carmen Idell Chambers age 75, passed away Saturday May 18, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday May 24, 2019 from 6:15PM until 8:00PM and Saturday May 25, 2019 at Hillsboro Baptist Church in Forest, MS from 1:30PM until 1:50 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 25, 2019 at 2:00PM at Hillsboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery. Brother Joe Crane will officiate the services.
Ms. Chambers was a native of Hillsboro, MS. She resided in Del City, OK since 1986 after moving from New Orleans Louisiana. She was a Baptist by faith and a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, OK for over 30 years. Carmen served in the nursery for over 20 years at First Southern Baptist Church of Del City. She worked as a legal secretary for over 50 years. She loved her family and her animals. She was a fun aunt, always wanting to be a part of everything. Even though Carmen was quiet, she loved scary movies.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Chambers; two sisters, Joliene Creel and Jackie Phillips. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Phillips, Benjamin Phillips, Luke Phillips, Noah Gillett, Trevor Walker, and Michael Boyer.
