Charles E. Rogillio

Charles Eugene Rogillio, age 79, passed away on July 1, 2023, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Sims Cemetery in Morton, MS. Bro. Earl Clark and Bro. Shane Wilkinson will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

 He was born on September 25, 1943, in Quantico, VA, to Charles and Lucille Rogillio, and grew up in Jackson, MS. He and his

wife Georgia settled down in Scott County in 1970 where they reared their three children.

He attended Mississippi State University and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1965 and

his master’s degree in 1967. He remained an avid MSU sports fan throughout his life.

He had a passion for nature and being outdoors, and he loved spending time with his

grandchildren hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler. He played baseball throughout his

school years and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved spending the

holidays and his free time with family. His dog, Bear, was a huge part of his life, and he had a

special bond with Bear. He had a close-knit group of friends in college, and this group of friends

and their wives coined themselves “the five couples.” For the last forty-five years, they have

continued to spend time together and have been involved in each other’s lives.

Charles is preceded in death by his grandson, Drew Moore, and his parents, Charles and Lucille

Rogillio.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Rogillio; son, Charles (Trula) Rogillio; daughters, Cynthia

(Roger) Harris and Tammy (Patrick) Moore; grandchildren, Haley, Cole, Mallory (Geoffrey), and

Ben; and a host of cousins.
