Ezra David Cook, 74, a resident of Morton passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Sevierville, TN. Visitation was Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Wolf Funeral Services from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and again Friday, October 15, 2010 from 9:30 until 10:45 am and the funeral services were at 11:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Officiating was Bro. Robert Gatewood, Bro Mark Herrington and Bro. Baron Price. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cook had lived in Polkville, MS for over 40 years and he attended the Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville, MS. Mr. Cook loved God, loved life and loved people. He also loved his bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Simmie Lou Cook in 2005; two brothers, Armon & Butell Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Stanford Cook, Polkville; Son, David (Jeannine ) Cook, Forest; Daughter, Sandra (Doug) Hancock, Laurel; two step-sons, Charles (Jennifer) Stanford, Savannah, GA; Allan (Joan) Stanford, Leakesville; two brothers, Eugene Cook and Stanley Cook both of Magee; three grandchildren, Tyler and Britt Hancock and Bryan Cook; one great-grandchild, Ethan Cook; seven step-grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tyler Hancock, Britt Hancock, Bryan Cook, Matthew Davis, Anthony Davis and Brandon Stanford.
