Barbara Ann Bryant Cooksey, 46, a resident of Lake passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral services were held in the chapel on Tuesday at 10:00 am with graveside services at 5:00 pm in the Curtis Union Baptist Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Officiating was Rev. Larry Duncan, Rev. Earl Clark and Bro. Eugene Howell. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Barbara had lived in Lake, MS since 2008 moving from Florence, MS and she was of the Baptist faith. At the Time of her death she was employed with Rush Health Systems in Morton, MS as a medical assistant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Bryant and Geneva Shields, one brother, Jesse Bryant.
She is survived by her husband, Wally Cooksey of Lake; one son, Joey and wife Tasha Bryant of Lake; three sisters, Norma Bryant of Victoria, TX; Lois Ann Bryant and Nancy Bryant; one brother, Willie Bryant of Batesville, MS; two grandchildren, Taylor and Brookelynn Bryant.
Pallbearers were Adam Bryant, Ricky Pennington, Wayne Cooksey, Wade Cooksey, Donovan Cooksey and Jesse Barrett.
