Billy Cooper

Mr. Billy Joe Cooper, age 66, passed away on Friday October 20, 2017 at his home in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 22, 2017 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Monday October 23, 2017 from 12:00PM until 1:45PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 23, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Rev. Tal Vardaman and Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cooper was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS and was a member of the Line Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Central Mississippi Riding Club and enjoyed riding horses, going to equine sales, and driving dump trucks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Agnes Cooper; and his grandparents, William and Bonnie Cooper and Joe and Mae Harvey. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Cooper of Morton, MS; two daughters, LaQuita Pettigrew (Johnny) of Forest, MS and Leslie Wooten (Dan) of Morton, MS; siblings, Dan Cooper (Diane) of Morton, MS and Sandra Ethridge of Morton, MS; three grandchildren, Taylor Trest, Graycee Wooten, and Kylee Trest; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Avery Nobles, John Curtis Davis, Ryan Stokley, Chris Stokley, Ernie Easterling, Dawson Stokley, Lee Easterling, and Gage Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Myrtle Adams, Roger Stokley, Durnham Stokley, Jimmy Paul Easterling, Dalton Scales, Billy Beard, Mike Measells, John Craven, Dwayne Lang, Jimmy Harrison, George Denson, Jeff White, Patrick Kelly, Bob Gray, and Tony Taddlock.
