Edward LaReau Cooper, son of Leslie and Nona Cooper was born July 5, 1927, in Scott County ,MS.
LaReau Married Beuna Marie Bradshaw on September 28, 1946. They were married sixty six years, until Beuna’s death on November 14, 2012.
He enlisted November 30, 1945 in the Army Air Corp. of the United States and was honorably discharged January 24, 1947. He was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
LaReau and Beuna made their home in the Cooperville Community. They had three children: Sherry Cooper Goss and husband James of Morton, MS.; Kent (Kenneth) Irvin Cooper preceded him in death in October 2008 and Scotty Joe Cooper and wife Donna of Morton,MS.; nine grandchildren, nine Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Granchild.
He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and served as deacon of Cooperville Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beuna, son Kent and granddaughter Lenora.
Serving as pallbearers were J.T. Cooper, Clayton Femyer, Taylor Easterling, Aaron Cooper, Scott Purcell, and Nathen Patrick.
