William Haywood Crapps
William Haywood Crapps, 83, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Sunday, October 07, 2012 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Monday, October 08, 2012 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, October 09, 2012 from 9:00 until 10:50 am. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 09, 2012 at 11:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. Byron Howell. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crapps had lived in Leesburg, MS for the past 64 years and he was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church. He retired in 1984 as owner of Crapps Construction. He and his wife loved to travel and he was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Jennie Crapps; one brother, Otis Crapps; one granddaughter, Angela Renfroe.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Julia Beth Crapps of Leesburg, MS; four sons, William Haywood Crapps, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Joseph Franklin Crapps of Leesburg, MS; Otis Daniel Crapps of Leesburg, MS; Jimmy Walsh Crapps of Leesburg, MS; one sister, Earnestine Pigg of Lena, MS; two brothers, Charlie Crapps of Morton, MS; Billy Crapps of Morton, MS; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Crapps, Doug Reisz, Jimmy Gordon Crapps, Kendall Pigg, Glenn Pigg, Kevin Crapps, Randy Crapps, and Reese Fortenberry.
