Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jerry Lee Crosby entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 85. Jerry was born on February 12, 1938, in Lake, MS, to Arthur Hilton Crosby and Bonnie Pace Crosby. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Jackson, MS, and a former member of Hazel Baptist Church, Lake, MS, where he once taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. After graduating from Lake High School, he moved to Jackson in 1956, where he worked at MS Products as a furniture inspector. Jerry married Geraldine Gibbs on May 24, 1958, and so began their 64-year journey together. In 1959, Jerry began working for Tri-State Brick and Tile, where he worked until 1982, when he founded Old South Brick and Supply, which became Mississippi's largest brick distributor. Jerry loved waiting on customers and used his prior experience to help them select brick for their homes and businesses. He had a knack for blending brick colors for one-of-a- kind custom looks. Jerry had an amazing ability to remember the customer, their brick order, and the location of the job, even if the sale was made 20 years prior. He truly wanted his customers to be happy. While he loved his profession in Jackson, he preferred spending weekends on his cattle farm in Lake. He loved Hazel Baptist Church and the town of Lake, where he renovated several buildings and houses. Jerry and his wife enjoyed family gatherings and holidays at the farm; spending time with their children and grandchildren were treasured moments.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Hilton and Bonnie Crosby; brothers Jack Crosby and Joe Crosby; and sisters Louise Harris, Peggy Callahan, and Geneva Lyles.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Geraldine, daughters Kim Pinnix (J.D.) of Flowood, MS; Lisa Watson of Jackson, MS, Jana Harless (Chris) of Madison, MS, and son Lane Crosby (Kristy), of Lake, MS, grandchildren Avery Watson, Shelby Pinnix, Annalise Watson, Ty Pinnix, Justin Crosby, Sam Harless, Valyn Crosby, Hayes Harless, and Leah Harless and many nieces and nephew.
