Jerry Cross

Jerry Cross, 55, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at University Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 12:00 until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be on Sunday in the chapel at 2:00 pm with burial following in the Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Jeff Jones, Bro. Randall Jackson, and eulogy will be by Billy Ray Parker and Walter Hudson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Leesburg Community and was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nature. He was a member of the Dixie National Booster Club and a member of the Calhoun County Porchsitters Society. He was a 1975 Graduate of East Rankin Academy.
He is survived by his wife of twenty nine and a half years, Lisa Alman Cross of Pelahatchie, MS; parents, Paul and Modean Cross of Pelahatchie, MS; one daughter, Sarah Catherine Thompson and husband Jay of Brandon, MS; one son, Jeremy Cross of Pelahatchie, MS; one brother, John Cross of Pelahatchie, MS; one grandchild, Jacob Thompson of Brandon, Ms, and a number of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Varnes, Rick Bennett, Gary Hawkins, Dave Boyce, Dan Rouse Boyce, Keith Coghlan, Butch Lee, Rusty Cross, Michael Bilbro, Donnie Stewart, Shane Pickard, Daryl McCleod, and David Locke.
