Nikki Ryan Dennis, 18, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at University Medical Center, Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 9:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the chapel with burial following in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Jeremy Price, Rev. Larry Dennis, and Rev. John De La Fuente. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Nikki was a lifelong resident of Polkville, MS and a member of First Baptist Church in Polkville, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ride 4-wheelers, play football and spend time with his son and family. He attended Raleigh High School where he played football, was a member of SCOPE and the Beta Club and received his GED in 2011.
He was preceded in death by one half-sister, Amanda Dennis; maternal grandfather, Fred Easterling; and paternal grandmother, Myrtle Dennis.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jennifer and Scott Puckett of Polkville, MS; father, Shannon Dennis of Polkville, MS; one son, Gatlin Dennis of Brandon, MS; three brothers, Shawn Dennis of Polkville, MS; Ryan Puckett of Polkville, MS; Aaron Puckett of Polkville, MS; one sister, Heather Puckett of Polkville, MS; one half-sister, Skylar Dennis of Madison, MS; maternal grandmother, Linda Easterling of Polkville, MS; paternal grandfather, Clark Dennis of Polkville, MS; paternal great-grandmother, Nell Phillips of Polkville, MS; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Zac Porter, Jordan Barnes, Robert Easterling, Noah Traxler, Colton Lingle, and Kyle Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Bailey, Kendall Puckett, Pat Traxler, and Keith Puckett.
