Raymond E. Dennis, 94, a resident of Forest, MS passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Lackey Memorial Hospital. Visitation was held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS, from 5:30 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services was held on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 10:00 am at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Larry Laird and Rev. Josh Cochran. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dennis had lived in Forest, MS for over a year, formerly living in Lawrence, MS and Vicksburg, MS and he was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing cards and dominos with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Arvis Dennis. He is survived by his wife Clodell Dennis of Forest, MS and his son Barry Dennis of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Van Jones, Benny Jones, Ritchie Jones, Scotty Jones, Jeff Jones, Danny Swancey, Jimmy Jolly, and Randy Dennis. Honorary pallbearers will be Sidney Dennis, Donald Dennis, Willie Dennis, Larry Stevens, Ronnie Dennis, and Billy Jolly.
