Mr. Bobby Joe Denton, age 58, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. Services will follow on January 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Wolf Services Funeral Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial will follow at Hodge Hill Cemetery in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Reverend Earl Clark.
Mr. Denton lived in Braxton, MS for the past 5 years formerly living in Pearl, MS. He was Methodist by faith and was a member of the McLaurin Heights Methodist Church in Pearl, MS. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederates Veterans (Rankin Grays) Mechanized Calvary in Florence, MS and the Patriot Guard Riders. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved boating, riding four wheelers, hunting, and fishing. He was a 1978 graduate of Pearl High School in Pearl, MS.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Denton; he is survived by his wife Wendy Issacks-Denton, of Braxton, MS; his parents, Wayne and Rose Wicker of Homewood, MS; his daughter, Emily Rose Denton of Hattiesburg, MS; his brother, Robert Eugene Denton of Forest, MS; his niece, Brandi Denton Gatewood of Ocean Springs, MS.
