Eva Lee Dollar, 85, a resident of the Heater Ridge Community in Smith County passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at Scott Regional Hospital, Morton, MS. Visitation was at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and again Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 8:00 until 9:45 am and the services were at 10:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Raleigh, MS. Officiating was Rev. Scott Mangum and Rev. Brian Fitzsimmons. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dollar was a lifelong resident of the Heater Ridge Community in Smith County before moving to Pelahatchie and she was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She loved to cook, sew and quilt and she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Riley Dollar in 1964; her parents, Sam and Rosie Luckey, and step-father Thomas Jordan; one daughter, Bertie Ainsworth; one sister and four brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Fannie (Ernie) Easterling, Morton; Liz (Billy) Easterling, Raleigh; one son Riley (Rebecca) Dollar, Morton; two sisters, Carolyn Barnett and Joann Barnett both of Mendenhall; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joe Ainsworth, James Ainsworth, Ernie Lee Easterling, II, Jason Phillipson, Chris Phillipson, Josh Phillipson, Eric Williams and Greg Easterling. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Craft and Jodie Wheeler.
