Mr. Jimmy Paul Easterling, Sr. age 65, passed away Thursday September 26th 2019 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Saturday September 28th 2019 from 4:30PM until 7:00PM and on Sunday September 29th 2019 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday September 29th 2019 at First Baptist Church of Polkville at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Morton, MS. Brother Jeremy Price and Brother Will McNeese will officiate.
Mr. Easterling was a lifelong resident of Polkville and Morton, MS. He was Baptist by faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Polkville. Jimmy Paul was a 1971 graduate of Morton High School. After graduation he began working as a USDA inspector with B.C. Rogers and retired in 2012 with Tyson Foods after 39 years. Starting in 1971 he served in the United States Army National Guard for over 20 years before retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, farm, travel and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He loved to go to the Philippines every year. He never met a stranger and he loved to talk.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd and Mae Deene Easterling; daughter, Andrea Easterling; grandparents; Luther and Ruby Hales and Henry and Verna Easterling. He is survived by his wife Ruby Easterling of Morton, MS; two children; Brianna Easterling of Morton, MS and Jimmy Paul Easterling, Jr. of Morton, MS; two sisters; Brenda Bradshaw Pace of Polkville, MS and Rita Easterling of Polkville, MS;a number of nieces, nephews and a world of friends.
Pallbearers will be Wilbur McCurdy, Willie McCurdy, Ryan Stokley, Luke Bradshaw, Danny Easterling, Greg Sessums, Richard Prestage and Danny Cooper.
