Ernest Gibbs

Ernest Gibbs, age 75, passed away at home September 8, 2023.  His visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS.  His Services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.  His Burial will follow at Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS.  Bro. Victor Bugg will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Ernest was married to the love of his life, Patty Sue Valentine for thirty-nine years.  He was a Vietnam Veteran.  He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Decatar, MS.  Ernest was a former member of Lake Masonic Lodge Number 605.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lula Bell Gibbs; one sister, Ida Mae Williamson and one brother, Herman Gibbs; one child, Dedria Mitchell.  He is Survived by his wife, Patty Sue Gibbs; by his two children, Daphney Bates (Shannon) of Lawrence, MS and Chad Hillman (Penny) of Lake, MS; six grandchildren and one great grandchild and will be tremendously missed by all.

Pallbearers will he Chris Tadlock, Lucas Bates, Colton Hillman, Mark Willis, Ronnie Williamson and Tim Gibbs.
