Mr. Albert Glenn “Fred” Federick age 73, passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on October 22, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at 10:P00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Burial with full military rites will follow in the MS State Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Anderson. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Federick had lived in Meridian, MS for the past 30 years moving from Lake, MS. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. After a distinguished and heavily honored career spanning over three decades, Mr. Federick retired from the United States Navy at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. He continued to serve as a civilian through teaching sailors at Stennis Naval Air Station in Meridian, MS for San Diego Community College until declining health forced his retirement in 2009.
Mr. Federick is preceded in death by his parents, Bodie & Louise Federick; one son, Steve Federick. He is survived by his wife Sharon Federick of Meridian, MS.; two daughters, Teresa Thomas and husband Dave of Dekalb, MS., Katrina Rushford and husband Mark of Decatur, MS.; one step-daughter, Amy Files and husband Jimmy of Meridian, MS.; one step-son, Jamie Roundtree of Charlotte, NC.; one sister, Deborah Federick Bell and husband Joe of Forest, MS.; three brothers, Charles Federick and wife Dorothy of Lawrence, MS., Ricky Federick and wife Nancy of Lake, MS., Dwight Federick and wife Rebecca of Lake, MS.; aunt, Linda Warren of Homewood, MS.; three grandchildren, Lauren Estes Johnson and husband Benji, Tyler Bryant, Ryan Bryant, one great grandchild, Braden Johnson; three step grandchildren, Luke Files, Logan Files, Lexie Files; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers are the Military. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Federick, Ricky Federick, Dwight Federick, Joe Bell, Mark Rushford, Dave Thomas, Steve Murray, Tyler Bryant, Ryan Bryant, Benton Espy, Lex Duett, Jimmy Files, Jamie Roundtree, Percy Wayne Everett.
