Kathy Dianne Bufkin Fortenberry, 61, a resident of Morton, MS passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Morton Jesus Name Church of Morton, MS on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 10:30 am until service time Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Lorena Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Ronnie Wright and Bro John Goodhue. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Kathy had lived in Scott and Smith Counties for all her life, and she was on the Non-Denominational Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wydell Bufkin; two brothers, Lamar and Henry Bufkin; one nephew, Michael Bufkin; two nieces, Daphne Bufkin and Melissa Bufkin.
She is survived by three children, Benjamin Fortenberry of Forest, MS; Stanley Fortenberry of Forest, MS; and Amanda Hynes of Morton, MS; three sisters, Virginia Fay Wicker of Pulaski, MS; Jennifer Wright of Forest, MS; Jackie Bufkin of Vicksburg, MS; three brothers, Leon Bufkin of Homewood, MS; Donald Joe Bufkin of Lena, MS; and Travis Bufkin of Forest, MS; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
