Mr. Charles Gaines, age 62 and a resident of Morton, MS. passed away on Thursday February 20, 2014 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation was held on Friday February 28, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. and Saturday March 1, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 12:50 PM at Greater Holy Hill Church in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were at 1:00 PM at Greater Holy Hill Church. Burial followed in the Greater Holy Hill Cemetery. Officiating was Elder Charlie Jones, Jr.. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Mr Gaines had been a resident of Morton for most of his life. He was a member of the Greater Holy Hill Church in Morton, MS. He was an avid golfer and was known for his famous cooking here in Morton.
Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles Gaines. He is survived by his mother, Pauline McCoy of Morton, MS.; two daughters, Ashandee Frietas of Hawaii; Raeshawn Gaines-Canty of Las Vegas, NV.; one son, Charles “Chucky” Gaines of Las Vegas, NV.; four sisters, Linda Gaines of Baton Rouge, LA.; Vanessa Milner and husband Reginald of Las Vegas, NV.; Loretta Criner and husband Terry of Las Vegas, NV.; Loraine Ross and husband Tim of Las Vegas, NV.; two brothers, Billy Gaines and wife Karen of Morton, MS.; Arthur James Milner of Morton, MS.; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a special friend, John Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
