Gary "Bo" Coker

Gary "Bo" Coker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Forest, Mississippi, on March 23, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on November 27, 1949, in Hinds County, Mississippi, Bo brought joy and warmth to all who knew him throughout his remarkable life.

Bo was a cherished member of the Forest community, having lived in Forest since 2006, after previously residing in Morton, Mississippi. He was a dedicated member of the Forest United Methodist Church, where he engaged with his faith and community.

An accomplished individual, Bo graduated from Morton High School in 1967, where he not only excelled academically but also made a name for himself on the football field. Following his passion for construction, he began his career in this field and eventually rose to the esteemed position of Vice-President at Nicholas Accoustics. His dedication and work ethic were a testament to his strong character and commitment.

Outside of his professional achievements, Bo was an avid outdoorsman. He found immense joy in hunting, fishing, and playing golf, often sharing these passions with his family and friends, who fondly recall the memorable times spent in his company.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Pat Coker, of Forest, MS; two devoted daughters, Sharon Coker of Forest, MS, and Tiffany Young (Brad) of Lake, MS; two brothers, Marion Coker of Morton, MS, and Tom Coker (Sandy) of Plano, TX; as well as his cherished grandchild, Bo Braxton Herring. Bo's spirit and legacy will undoubtedly continue to live on through them.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Willow Coker, whose absence he carried with grace throughout his life.

A visitation in his honor will be held on March 29, 2025, at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Mississippi, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember and celebrate Bo's life, a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
