Belle Marie Geans, 87, a resident of Forest passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at her residence. Visitation was August 24, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Greenview Funeral Home, Florence, AL, and funeral services were Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 3:00 pm in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Murphy’s Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Florence, AL. Officiating was Rev. Paul Holloway, Jr.. Greenville Funeral Home in Florence, Al was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Geans had lived in Forest, MS for the past 6 years moving from Florence, AL and she was of the Baptist faith. She loved reading her bible and working word puzzles. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Geans; two sons, James Richard Geans and William Geans both of AL; one daughter, Reeva Sue Allen of Gulfport, MS; two sisters, Myrtle Arquette of Michigan and Bettye Brown of Florida.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty C. Bevis and husband Jimmy of Forest; five sons, Henry Geans and wife Joyce of Zip City, AL; Jimmy Geans, Donnie Geans, Dale Geans and wife Judy, and Bobby Geans and wife Sharon all of Waterloo, AL; two sisters, Julia Bennett and Mary Lee Bennett both of MI; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tony Geans, Stevie Perry, Phillip Allen, Robbie Allen, Will Allen, Tim McCabe, and Jimmy Geans, Jr.. Honarary pallbearers were Brian Geans, and Bradley Geans.
