Louise Gilmer

Mrs. Mamie Louise Gilmer, age 97, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Choctaw Residential Center in Philadelphia, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Antioch-Steele Cemetery in Forest, MS. Bro. Larry Duncan will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mrs. Gilmer was born to Rufus Benjamin White and Lula Leila Walters on April 25, 1925, in Smith County, MS. She moved from Cleveland, MS and has lived in Forest, MS for the past 20 years. She loved kids, enjoyed cooking and wood working.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Gilmer; parents, Rufus Benjamin White and Lula Leila White; son, Charles Gilmer; brother, Archie White; sister Clara Sanders. She is survived by her daughter; Audrey T. Cupit (Randall May) of Forest, MS; brother, Rufus D. White of Alabama; sister, Francis White of Forest, MS; grandchildren, Lindsay Cupit (Cade Clark), Aubrey Gilmer (Leigh Gilmer), Caitlyn Gilmer (Zack Linkous), Carrie Cupit Wolfe (Kyle Wolfe), Joey May (Tasha May), Leanne Cobern (Anthony Cobern) and ten Great-Grandchildren.
