Robert “Buddy” Grantham, 77, a resident of Morton passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his residence. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Friday May 20, 2011 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and funeral services were at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Pulaski, MS with burial following in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Stevie Hand and Dr. Perry Simpson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Grantham had lived in Morton for most of his life and he attended the North Morton Baptist Church in Morton, MS. He loved to play poker, watch the New Orleans Saints and wrestling. After leaving the oilfield he worked at Fisherman’s Corner in Morton, MS.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Robbie Ann Kennedy. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Simpson and husband Carl of Pulaski, MS; Michelle Grace and husband Wayne of Lisman, AL; Kasey Wilkerson and boy friend Michael Christopher of Forest, MS; one son, Robert Grantham, Jr. and wife Wendy of Morton, MS; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chance Wilkerson, Randy Grantham, Jessie Evans, Perry Simpson, Jr., James Compton, Wayne Grace, and Michael Christopher.
