Laura Cash Hall, age 83, of Florence, Mississippi, passed away May 19, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She had recently moved to the Personal Care Retirement Community in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Mississippi. Rev. Paul Smith, cousin of the deceased, will preside over the service. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, preceding the service. Burial will follow in Morton Memorial Gardens in Morton, Mississippi. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mellie B. Cash, and her husband, Howard Lamar Hall, the love of her life. They enjoyed many years of service with the U.S. Air Force, including being stationed in Tripoli, Libya and in Okinawa, Japan.
Mrs. Hall was a former librarian in Miami, Florida and has always enjoyed reading, and telling stories of her travels around the world.
Survivors include two sisters, Neva C. Whitehead (James) of Aberdeen, Mississippi, Ruby C. Howard of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; brother-in-law Jim Hall (Shirley) of Richland, Mississippi, and many nieces, nephews, and cousin.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bridges, Frankie Cash, Paul Cash, Wayne Cash, David Howard, and Glenn Kegley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Palmer Home of Children, P. O. Box 746, Columbus, Mississippi 39703.
