Harold “Keith” Rushing was born May 8, 1937, in Scott County, MS, in the Red Top Community. His parents were James “Jim” Franklin Rushing and Maggie Mae Welch Rushing. He married Gloria D. Porter on May 14, 1960.
Keith was a very hard-working, self-made man of many talents. He worked as a wallpaper hanger and was a self-employed contractor for many years, then worked at International Paper in Morton until retirement. He also was a very talented woodworker as well. He also served his country for 7 years in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria of Sixty-three Years, both of his parents, his brothers, Wayne F. Rushing and James Paul Rushing, and his sister-in-law, Danna Rushing.
He is survived by all four of his children, Sharon R . Stracqualursi (Ray), Teresa R. Wells (John), David K. Rushing (Jennifer), and Kim R. Hunt (Scott); his six granddaughters and two grandsons, Stephanie S. Sullivan (Jake), Stacie S. Robertson (Michael), Ashlie W. Langston (Daniel), Brittany W. Steele (Bryan), Haley W. Lynch (Ryan), Brooke Hunt, Kyle Hunt, and John Hunt; and his ten great-grandchildren, Harper, Rohen, Finn, Langston, Annalee, Everett, Beckett Steele; Jackson Lynch; Eion, Eliana Robertson and Chase Hunt. Also survived by a special brother-in-law, Daniel Porter, nieces and nephews, cousins, special neighbors, and lots of family and friends.
Keith’s visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 3:15 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. His services will take place at 3:30 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Private family graveside will follow. Bro. Bobby McKay, Bro. John Wells and Bro. Paul Smith will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
