Mary B. Harris

Mrs. Mary Beth Thrasher Harris age 73, a resident of Forest, MS. passed away March 1, 2014 at her home. Visitation will be held on Monday March 3, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 4, 2014 from 10 AM until service time at 2 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Tam Maddox and Bro. Rudy Jackson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harris was a lifelong resident of the Mt. Carmel Community in Smith County. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She loved flower gardening.
Mrs. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, William and Janie Thrasher, two sisters, Rachel Vinzant, and Minnie Denson, two brothers, David Thrasher and Nathaniel Thrasher, great grandson, Noah Tatlee Wicker. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Irvin L. Harris, Sr. of Forest, MS.; three daughters, Kathy Keeton and husband Billy Joe of Louin, MS.; Becky Perkins and husband Richard of Forest, MS.; Denise Jackson and husband Rodney of Louin, MS.; three sons, Anthony “Pete” Boykin and wife Donna of Forest, MS.; Irvin Harris, Jr. and wife Becky of Morton, MS.; and Roger Harris and wife Cynthia of Morton, MS.; one sister, Gladys Arinder of Forest, MS.; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Travis Bufkin, Donald Joe Bufkin, James Hill, Kenny Vatte, Jeffery Harris and Kevin Brewer.
