Mrs. Katie Maude Harvey age 83, a resident of Morton, MS. passed away on Monday May 12, 2014 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 9:00 Am until 10:00 AM at Kalem United Methodist Church in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Kalem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Kalem United Methodist Cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harvey was a resident of Kalem, MS. all of her life. She was a member of the Kalem United Methodist Church where she served as past treasurer and was a member of the Women’s Club. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, fishing and cooking for her family and friends.
Mrs. Harvey is preceded in death by her husband Max Hillman Harvey in 1980, son Franklin Hillman Harvey, brother, Frank Herring. She is survived by one son, Terrell Harvey and wife Jean of Morton, MS.; two daughters, Nena Dansby and husband Allen of Lake, MS.; Nelva Wallace of Morton, MS.; one sister, Bobbie White and husband James of Morton, MS.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Max Harvey, Chad White, Danny Cooper, B.K. Herring, David Herring, Ricky Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Cooper, Stan Earls, Jimmy Gould.
Memorials may be made to: Kalem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund 8879 Hwy. 80 Morton, MS 39117.
