Andrew "Andy" Havard

Mr. Andrew “Andy” Lewis Havard age 62, passed away Thursday November 15, 2018 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday on November 20, 2018 from 10:00AM until 12:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Services will follow on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at 1:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Lake, MS. Burial will be at a later date. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Havard was a native and lifelong resident of Scott County, MS and he was a Baptist in Faith. He served the cities of Forest, Newton, Hickory and Meridian as a Police Officer and Detective for over thirty-three years, retiring in 2009. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to deer hunt, camp, fish and mechanic on vehicles. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and was always helping someone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ivor Jewel Havard; his brother, Lennie Ray “Bud” Havard; two grandchildren, Hailey and Shyann Havard. He is survived by his Fiancé, Marianne Jacobs of Forest, MS; his daughter, Sandy Havard of Collinsville, MS; his two sons, Andrew Derrick Havard of Decatur, MS; and Bobby Lewis Havard of Collinsville, MS; four brothers, John “Sam” Havard, Jr. of Little Rock, MS; Ulma Lee “Plookie” Havard of Forest, MS; Randy D. Havard of Forest, MS; Mark Allen Havard of Homewood, MS; six grandchildren and also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be fellow officers of Meridian Police Department and honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Tyler Havard.
