Betty Sue Herrington, 71, of Mendenhall, MS passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Simpson County General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Sunday April 11, 2021 from 10:30 A.M. till 1:50 P.M. Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel, Morton, MS, with Bro. Gary Walton officiating. There will be no graveside service. Although state requirements have ended, please wear a mask and maintain social distancing to continue helping control the spread of Covid-19.
Betty Sue was born in Hinds County, Mississippi on December 16, 1949 to the J.C. Stephens and Bertil Brock. She lived in Mendenhall for the past year after moving there from the Branch Community in Scott County. She was a member of the Branch Baptist Church in Morton, MS where she was a member of the WMU and a former choir member. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9122 in Mendenhall, MS.
In addition to her parents, Betty Sue is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lee Stephens; sister, Jackie Miles; sons Timothy Smith and Anthony Smith and daughter-in-law Sherri Smith. She is survived by son Ray Herrington, Jr. (Crystal) of Mendenhall, MS; 1 brother, Michael Stephens Louisville, KY; special friend Ethel Hill of Pelahatchie, MS; 6 grandchildren, James Corr, Parker Corr, Amelia Smith, Jesse Herrington, Haleigh Herrington, Staci Herrington; 6 Great Grandchildren, Zoey Corr, Anthony Corr, Riley Corr, Peyton Corr, Alyssa Smith, Harleigh Belifont and 3 foster children, Brenda Rushing, Nancy Allen and Efrain Moss.
Pallbearers will be Parker Corr, Jesse Herrington, Brian Brock, Timothy Johnson, Riley Corr, Ricky Vanderford. Honorary Pallbearer, Anthony Corr.
