Johnny "Dog" Hoard

John “Dog” Hoard, age 56, a resident of Forest, MS passed away on Saturday September 12, 2015 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 17, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday September 18, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 18, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Harperville Cemetery in Forest, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Knowles. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
John was a lifelong resident of Forest, MS and he was of the Baptist Faith. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, grilling and being with his family and friends.
John is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lyons. He is survived by his wife, Kim Hoard of Forest, MS; mother, Daisy Lyons of Forest, MS; four daughters, Renea Shepard and husband David of Chico, TX, Michelle Withers and friend Jason Ellsworth of Forest, MS, Amanda Hoard and friend Terrell Allen of Forest, MS, Heather Shoemaker and husband Dewayne of Forest, MS; three sons, Austin Hoard of Forest, MS, Brandon Dunn of Forest, MS, Dewayne Sims of Forest, MS; one brother, Bobby Sessums and wife Maxine of Morton, MS; fourteen grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers are Jody McCurdy, David Shepard, Terrell Allen, Carol Bradford, Jeffery Bradford, Jeff Hillhouse. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Hoard, Brandon Dunn, Jason Ellsworth, Nick Withers.
