Mrs. Patsy Holifield age 65, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2020 at Merit Health in Brandon, MS. A visitation will be held on Friday June 5, 2020 at Masonic Cemetery in Morton, MS from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow.
Mrs. Holifield was born in Mendenhall, MS. She spent her life in Morton, MS. She was a Christian and a member of Healing and Deliverance Ministries in Morton, MS. She enjoyed doing her family’s hair and she liked embroidering. She was the overseer of the whole family, she was known as a comedian and loved making people laugh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Terry and Annie Pearl Shelby and her sister, Magnolia Cannon. She is survived by her Husband, Charlie Gilbert; two children, Jimmy Holifield ( Shennia) of Pelahatchie, MS., Terri Holifield of Morton, MS., two step children, Charlie A. Gilbert and Jasmine A. Gilbert; siblings, Jessie Harris of CA., Samuel Harris, Jr. of CA., Alvin Harris of Morton, MS., Betty Harris of Forest, MS., Rosie Terry of Morton, MS., Carol Morrow of Morton, MS., Hazel Nicks of Morton, MS., Willie Terry Jr. of Morton, MS., Beverly Hicks of Morton, MS., Pamela Williams of Morton, MS.; grandchildren, Nishondra Albarez, Mitika Holifield, Destine Holifield, Kanosha Holifield, Zharia Holifield, Jinodja Holifield, Jimmy T. Holifield, Jr.,Kimarie Holifield and a host of dearly loved family and friends.
